📏 Women's Shoe Size Guide for Pakistan: Find Your Perfect Fit

Buying shoes online in Pakistan comes with one consistent challenge: sizing. With products measured in European (EU), UK, and US sizes — and Pakistani markets often using their own conventions — it's easy to end up with shoes that don't fit. This guide explains exactly how shoe sizing works and how to find your correct size every time.

The Sizing Systems Explained

European (EU) sizing is the most common system used for fashion footwear sold in Pakistan. EU sizes run from approximately 35 to 42 for women's shoes. Each EU size corresponds to roughly 2/3 of a centimetre of foot length. EU sizing is the most consistent system and is what most online stores use.

UK sizing runs approximately 2 sizes smaller than EU — so an EU 38 is roughly a UK 5. UK sizing is still used on some brands and imported footwear.

US sizing runs approximately 1.5 sizes larger than UK — so a UK 5 is a US 7.5. US sizing is common on American and some international brands.

Pakistani local market sizing varies by manufacturer and is not standardised. When buying from local markets, always try the shoe on rather than relying on a number.

The Conversion Chart

Here is a straightforward EU to foot length conversion for women's shoes:

EU SizeFoot Length (cm)UK SizeUS Size
3522.5 cm2.55
3623 cm35.5
3723.5 cm46.5
3824 cm57.5
3925 cm68.5
4025.5 cm6.59
4126 cm79.5
4227 cm810.5

Note: These measurements are approximate. Different brands and styles — particularly narrow pointed-toe shoes versus wide open-toe sandals — will fit differently even at the same nominal size.

How to Measure Your Foot at Home

Measuring your own foot takes less than five minutes and gives you accurate information to order by.

What you need: A piece of plain paper larger than your foot, a pen or pencil, and a ruler or measuring tape.

Step 1: Place the paper on a hard floor (not carpet — carpet compresses under your foot and gives a false reading).

Step 2: Stand on the paper with your full weight on that foot. Sitting measurements are smaller than standing measurements and will give you shoes that are too tight.

Step 3: Hold the pen straight up (not angled) and trace around your entire foot, keeping the pen in contact with your skin throughout.

Step 4: Draw two lines: one touching the longest toe (usually the big toe but not always), and one touching the heel. Measure the distance between these two lines in centimetres. This is your foot length.

Step 5: Measure both feet and use the measurement of the larger foot. Most people have feet that differ slightly in size.

Step 6: Cross-reference your measurement with the chart above to find your EU size. If you fall between two sizes, size up — especially for closed-toe shoes.

When You're Between Sizes

Being between sizes is extremely common. Here's how to make the decision:

For closed-toe shoes (pumps, pointed heels, block-toe styles): Always size up. A shoe that is slightly too big can be managed with an insole; a shoe that is too small will hurt and cannot be fixed.

For open-toe sandals: You have more flexibility. Because your toes have room at the front, sizing down is sometimes fine — as long as the shoe doesn't cut into the sides of your foot.

For strappy sandals: Fit is determined more by the strap positions than the overall length. Focus on whether the strap across the widest part of your foot sits in the right place, not just the number.
